Length: Approximately 1,350 km
Road Type: Highway, with scenic coastal roads
Large Towns/Cities en Route: Parry Sound, Owen Sound, Collingwood.
The Georgian Bay Coastal Route offers stunning views of the iconic Great Lakes. You'll ride along the coastlines of Georgian Bay, experiencing the picturesque landscapes of the Bruce Peninsula and the rugged beauty of Manitoulin Island.
Highlights include the crystal-clear waters of Tobermory and the breathtaking views from the Lion's Head. But be warned—you’ll want a motorcycle that’s comfy on long trips.
Notable Stops:
- Flowerpot Island: Accessible by ferry, this island is known for its unique rock formations. Worth it if you don’t mind leaving your bike at the dock for an afternoon.
- Bruce Peninsula National Park: Offers incredible hiking and photo opportunities.
Be sure to pack a camera and some warm riding gear in your saddlebags—the coastal breezes can be chilly even in summer.
Algonquin Park Loop
Length: Approximately 250 km
Road Type: Highway, with winding sections through dense forest
Large Towns/Cities en Route: Huntsville, Whitney.
Algonquin Park is a rider's paradise, with its scenic roads cutting through dense forests and alongside pristine lakes. This route takes you around the park, offering plenty of opportunities to spot wildlife and enjoy the serene Ontario wilderness.
It’s also relatively quick, making it a great option for sport bikes and shorter-range rides.
Notable Stops:
- Algonquin Visitor Centre: Learn about the park’s history and ecosystems.
- Lake of Two Rivers: A great spot for a break and a picnic.
Make sure to watch for wildlife on the road, especially in the early morning and late evening.
Rideau Ridge
Length: Approximately 261 km
Road Type: Highway, with historical and scenic sections
Large Towns/Cities en Route: Perth, Maberly
The Rideau Ridge route follows the historic Rideau Canal, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This route combines scenic beauty with cultural heritage, taking you through charming towns and past beautiful waterways.

The Muskoka Loop
Length: Approximately 210 km

Large Towns/Cities en Route: Gravenhurst, Bracebridge, Huntsville.
Known as Ontario's cottage country, Muskoka offers stunning lakes, lush forests, and charming towns. The Muskoka Loop takes you through some of the most scenic areas—it’s perfect for a leisurely cruise, but short enough that you can do it on a bike without saddlebags or panniers.

The Niagara Parkway

Large Towns/Cities en Route: Niagara-on-the-Lake, Niagara Falls, Fort Erie.
